It's tough for Australia to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

This is the team that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, targeted by the record chasers, are all that remain for a side that has achieved everything.

That it took until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the bowling attack that have sported the yellow jersey over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their batsmen to possess a record if not provided the opportunity.

In the end, the consequence of Australia conceding 330 was skipper Alyssa Healy receiving a platform to produce her most recent brilliance.

Originally famous as the 19-year-old niece of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after Australia didn't secure either of the T20 or ODI World Cups from the prior year and has experienced everything through 15 successful years since.

Many contend the case for the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the test that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What is certain is this century was much more difficult to predict.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 came as she topped the run-scoring charts, but this knock followed six innings in India since the start of last month in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"If you've been watching me in the nets, it has been a frustrating experience because I feel like I've had no rhythm whatsoever," commented Healy.

Healy's fighting spirit has continuously been her key asset - and a priceless quality in replacing iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, fallen to the young fast bowler in every game, but here that only provided Healy's inspiration.

One run resulted off Gaud's first delivery and after that Healy was on her way.

"The possibility to go out there and face the challenge with her and simply enjoy myself that way, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 balls as she attacked short-pitched balls, hitting 21 fours and three sixes.

By the time she was removed the team needed 66 additional runs at run per delivery - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the confidence to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to repeat it but, should it happen, we know we can do it."

That comment will be the last competing nations at this tournament want to hear.

During the last week a feeling they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this victory succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

During that phase they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a match Healy missed because of damaged tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the initial instance at a significant event.
